Matt Simpson
Director of Marketing
Matt Simpson serves as Director of Marketing for NCF California, where he leads the strategy, design, and launch of marketing programs, products, and digital initiatives that support generosity, legacy planning, and long-term philanthropic impact. He works closely with advisors, nonprofit leaders, and internal teams to shape offerings that strengthen engagement and help givers connect with meaningful opportunities for generosity.
With more than two decades of experience, Matt brings a hands-on background in building and running marketing organizations. He has spent over 20 years owning and leading a successful marketing agency, guiding the creation of hundreds of brands, products, and platforms for mission-focused organizations, professional services firms, and values-aligned enterprises.
Throughout his career, Matt has been privileged to work alongside some of the leading voices in planned giving and philanthropic strategy. His work has supported advisors, thought leaders, and organizations across the country in developing and implementing solutions that make complex giving strategies, including asset-based and planned giving, more understandable, accessible, and actionable. He is especially passionate about helping organizations communicate purpose, build trust, and invite people into a larger story of generosity and stewardship.
Matt and his wife, Spring, have been happily married for over 25 years and have two children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and being outdoors.
