Sarah Jay Timmermans
Director of Engagement
Sarah Jay Timmermans leads events, experiences, and communications for NCF California, creating opportunities that inspire generosity and foster meaningful connection across the community. She also advances new initiatives that encourage engagement, collaboration, and innovative approaches to generosity.
As part of her role with NCF California, Sarah serves as the Managing Director of Asset Giving University, where she provides strategic leadership for the program’s planning, delivery, and growth. She oversees program design and execution, coordinates faculty and cohort experiences, and leads communications that ensure a cohesive, high-impact learning environment—equipping nonprofit leaders and development professionals to pursue transformational generosity through non-cash and asset-based giving.
Sarah earned her BA in history from California State University, Fullerton, and her MA in church history from Wheaton College. She is a SoCal native and a long-time resident of Orange County. Prior to joining the NCF team, Sarah worked in development at Vanguard University and Think Together and carries a deep commitment to nonprofit and ministry work.
Sarah is an adjunct professor at Vanguard University and enjoys time in the kitchen, hosting dinner parties and game nights, and camping with her husband.
